The Paul Cherrier estate is a family property of 14 hectares, located mainly in the town of Verdigny, which produces Sancerre wines.
The vineyard is worked today by Stéphane Cherrier and has 11 hectares in white of Sauvignon and 3 hectares of red Pinot Noir.
The terroir is clay-limestone on the Verdigny plateau and there are white soils on the hillsides.
Vinification takes place in the traditional way in stainless steel vats for the Sauvignon and in wooden tuns for the Pinot Noir.
The conduct of the vine is intended to be “reasoned”. There is therefore no organic farming certification on the estate, but work that comes close.
