Talisker, the "craggy rock" in Nordic language, is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, the northernmost of the Inner Hebrides barely protected from the storms of the Atlantic Ocean.

Established in 1830 on the shores of Loch Harport, it has a special status in the world of whisky. Its soft, peaty water does not come from streams or rivers but from the 21 underground springs of Hawk Hill a few steps from the distillery.

Its single malt, produced in the traditional way, has a recognizable oily character due to its slow cooling at the exit of the stills.

Just like the storms that shape the coasts of the Isle of Skye, the iodized intensity of Talisker whiskey then gives way to a supple and fruity lull as subtle as it is unexpected. The controlled complexity and the length in the mouth of this single malt promise a most singular tasting.
