Oban crafts a remarkable Single Malt in one of Scotland's oldest distilleries with official production authorisation.

The selection of barley according to very precise specifications, its distillation in lantern-shaped stills, its slow condensation in "worm tubs" ("coil condensers") as well as its maturation of at least fourteen years in oak barrels (bourbon), give Oban a unique character made of malt, iodine, salt, fruit and wood fire.

The Oban style is therefore ample and iodized, combining slight notes of smoke with sweet spices. Traditional methods have enabled the distillery to maintain the quality of its whiskey for two centuries.
