The history of the Mathez chocolate factory dates back to the early 1930s, when Alaüs Mathez launched into the manufacture of high-end chocolate products, with one objective: quality.
In 1996, an entrepreneur named Éric Fischer visited the small chocolate factory and literally fell in love with chocolate, truffles, and well-made products. Convinced of the great potential of these delicacies, which are still made using the methods dear to Alaüs Mathez, he is diversifying the range and working with artisans of taste to always offer more truffles. In Marc de Champagne, embellished with macaroons or candied orange, Mathez truffles adorn themselves with their finest finery and go out to meet a conquered clientele all over the world.
