Named for its intense lemon scent, lemongrass is a tropical perennial that grows in sunny, humid climates. Lemongrass goes well with ginger, coconut, garlic, shallot and chilli.
Essential in Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, it pleasantly flavors soups, curry dishes, sauces and fish.
It can also be used as a refreshing tea. Its dried leaves are also widely used in Malaysian, Indonesian and Chinese cuisines for fish marinades or grilled meats.
