Calcium chloride (or calcium chloride) is a calcium salt. It is soluble in water. It is very hygroscopic and must therefore be kept in its carefully closed box.

Properties of Calcium Chloride: Calcium Chloride releases Calcium ions in solution. These free ions will allow the reaction with the sodium alginate to form a gel.

Dosage Calcium Chloride: Calcium chloride is generally used between 10 to 40 g per litre. It is completely cold soluble.
