The white pudding
In the Middle Ages, it was traditional to start Christmas Eve with porridge made of milk, breadcrumbs, fat and starch, the ancestor of white pudding.
The tradition, with regard to the current white pudding, wants it to have been invented by monks, to allow them to eat, on Friday, a product having the shape of a sausage but containing no meat.
The modern white pudding was born!
