In Pouligny-Saint-Pierre, in Indre, a town famous for its pyramid-shaped goat's cheese, events disturb the peace.
Lots of things are happening in Pouligny-Saint-Pierre, a small village in Berry known for its goat cheese produced here since the 18th century. 
In 2010, the mayor built a monument in the shape of the famous cheese, with fake goats.
But since then, thefts have taken place. The mayor of the town knows this strange case well: "The goats were bolted to a concrete base. The four bolts were cut. Rebelote, complaint, case closed: find a thief of plastic goats. No one is running after!"
After ten years, the municipality gave up, without ever knowing who committed the fifteen successive degradations.
An appellation obtained 45 years ago and which in 2009 became a European PDO. This is to say the excellence of the slightly bluish Pouligny.
To be eaten simply on a country toast or slip it into a tomato salad in which the mozzarella is replaced by large slices of Pouligny-Saint-Pierre.
One last thing, in Pouligny-Saint-Pierre, there is "Saint-Pierre", perhaps for this holy stone which is in the town. The legend says that "this stone would have been carved by the hand of man. We distinguish a woman's sex and then we say to ourselves that the people who were to come there, perhaps, hoped for lots of good things."
