  Nicholas Werkhoven, Dutch from Eindhoven, became Charente with passion, enlivening with his verve, his faith and his tremendous enthusiasm the estate set up by his father-in-law. 

 Its fine clear, pretty specials, fresh triploid, like its splendid “super specials” called “the reserve”, lively, fleshy, iodized, sappy, are worth their weight in beautiful marine flesh. 

 Everything is done at home, facing the sea, with commendable care. The numerous distinctions  agricultural competitions are the just reward for the work accomplished with the help of Mother Nature.
