The story begins in Quimper in 1886 in the boiling kitchens of Marie-Catherine Cornic.
A pancake is forgotten on the fire.
Marie-Catherine, for whom nothing is wasted, folds it into 8, rolls it up and then brings it to her mouth.
She then discovered a golden crepe with a new and light crispness: the lace crepe was born.
This deliciously authentic story will inspire the creation of the Gavottes® family biscuit factory in 1920. Since that day, Gavottes® has perpetuated the love of Crêpe Dentelle in all its forms thanks to a unique century-old know-how, which makes all the generations.
