Eugène GROBOST , chef at the CARLTON at the beginning of the last century, created a biscuit with a spoon that delighted the greats of this world.

To give his cookies their soft texture, he delicately mixes the cookie dough with a wooden spoon, it was at this time that the product and his know-how came together in a single name to give “The Spoon Cookie”. 

To return to live "in the country" with his wife, he opened his biscuit factory in Buxières-les-Mines in the Allier.
Residents have the pleasure of going to the shop to have their cookie box filled and then recorded.

In 1913, Eugène GROBOST obtained the gold medal and the mention out of competition at the international fair of Montluçon. 

In the 1980s, for lack of a buyer, the Buxieres-les-Mines shop ceased its activity...

In the early 1990s, the story was renewed: Frédéric GROBOST , his great-grandson, cook in the private service of the President at the Elysée, married Valérie. Firmly determined to live in the Morvan, their native region, they relaunched together the manufacture of biscuits with a spoon developed by their great-grandfather.

In 1991, Frédéric & Valérie GROBOST built a modern production building and little by little, they made consumers rediscover the spoon biscuit of the pastry chefs of their childhood.
