It's time for the Blanche des Sables du Domaine d'UZA!
The tasty asparagus launches its season, renowned for its finesse and remarkable sweetness on the palate.
The Landes have asserted themselves over the years as the leading producer of asparagus in France, at a level twice that of the Gard or the Gironde, which complete the podium. The department represents the fifth of the national harvest.
The Domaine d'Uza asparagus garden was created on forest floor after the storm of 2009. It is the largest organic asparagus farm in France, whose level of qualitative requirement is due to the personality of its creator, Count Alexandre de Lur-Saluces, also owner of the famous Sauternes “Château de Fargues”.
The ultra-modern installations allow the immediate cooling of the asparagus after harvest. Their draconian sorting is carried out by a machine equipped with cameras photographing each asparagus 10 times from all angles in order to determine its size and category.
As soon as it is harvested, a race against the clock is organized around the asparagus. To guarantee and preserve the freshness of this vegetable, do not exceed 4 hours between picking and refrigeration in optimal conditions.
We only offer category 1 of this exceptional production, guaranteeing an irreproachable appearance: absolutely white asparagus, perfectly straight, fresh and with a closed bud.
