In 1931, 211 milk producers created the Cooperative de l'Ermitage in Bulgnéville, in the Vosges, to ensure their independence and produce quality cheeses. Today more than 1000 Co-operators, milk producers, are still the only shareholders of the Fromagerie de l'Ermitage.
For nearly 90 years, the Fromagerie de l'Ermitage has developed while preserving its culture, its cheese-making tradition and its know-how.
