The real Alsatian sausage, smoked over beech wood, from the very famous Mozer house.

This sausage traditionally made with very finely minced pork, wrapped in mutton gut, is smoked over beech wood. This gives it its unmistakable aroma. Originally from the city of Frankfurt in Germany where it was born in the 13th century, it is recognizable by its orange-yellow color.

The frankfurter is a pre-cooked and beech wood smoked sausage made from pork (fatty and lean pork). It is recognizable thanks to its yellow-ocher color envelope which differentiates it from the Strasbourg sausage, which is red. Finely minced, the meat gives a fine paste of a fairly soft consistency which needs to be cooked quickly before consumption.

To cook it, immerse it in simmering water and let it cook, still simmering, for 7 to 8 minutes. Do not boil, it is not recommended.
