The Tour de France of AOP cheeses
Ile de France: There are two PDO Bries, Brie de Meaux and Brie de Melun, the first being thicker and saltier than the second.
Les Hauts de France: This is the region where Maroilles was invented 1000 years ago by the monks of the eponymous abbey. It is the only AOP cheese in the North.
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté: It is of course Comté, a very fruity cheese and one of the favorite AOP cheeses of the French.
Auvergne: Saint Nectaire, Salers, Bleu d'Auvergne, Cantal, we no longer present the cheeses from the region of volcanoes.
Aquitaine - Midi Pyrénées: The South West offers a wide variety of flavors thanks to its wide variety of soils: we can mention Rocamadour or Roquefort and of course Ossau-Iraty, a delicious sheep's milk cheese from the Basque Country .
Normandy: Four PDO cheeses originating from the eponymous villages are produced in Normandy: Le Pont l'Evêque, Camembert, Neufchâtel and Livarot.
The Alps: These are of course the cheeses of Savoy: Beaufort and Abondance and the incomparable Reblochon.
