Agrimontana, high-end candied and nut fruits.

Offering a range of high-end candied or nut fruits is the passion that has driven Agrimontana since its creation in 1972 by Cesare Bardini.

Renowned since its beginnings for its candied fruits, such as Piedmont chestnuts, Washington Navel oranges, Diamante citrons, the Italian company Agrimontana located in Piedmont, in Borgo San Dalmazzo (province of Cuneo), has developed by expanding its range and creating relays in the principality of Monaco and in France.

Fifty years ago, Cesare Bardini created agrimontana. This man, passionate about gastronomy, was very attentive to his health: “he wanted to be sure to eat natural products,” says his brother Enrico, today president, and supported in the general management by his niece Chiara and his nephew Luigi. “He wanted to convince pastry chefs to use high-end natural ingredients so that they could differentiate themselves. A positioning that will contribute to our success,” he adds. Then followed the development of other fruit confectionery and the production of jams and marmalades (1975) then that of candied chestnuts (1980).

Candied chestnuts, very well known to great pastry chefs, include two varieties: the Val Calore vintage, in the heart of the Cilento region (with its unique pointed shape, its almost baroque taste and its crunchy consistency) and the Agrimontana grand cru, harvested north of Turin in the Susa valley and on the Apennines, between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna (narrow and elongated shape, delicate taste, tender consistency).
