For more than 135 years, Fromagerie Renard Gillard has put all its know-how into making exceptional, quality cheeses.

With more than 135 years of cheesemaking tradition, the Renard Gillard brand is recognized for the excellence of its soft cheeses, such as its Brie de Meaux AOP.

It all started in 1886, when Alfred Renard, passionate about the family production of butter and cheese, decided to create his own cheese dairy in the same village in the heart of the Meuse, in Biencourt-sur-Orge.

Virginie Gillard, then become his wife, quickly joins him in his passion, the cheese dairy then becomes Fromagerie Renard Gillard. Their love of cheese and their know-how were quickly recognized: they received their first awards in 1891 at the Pantin and Bar-le-Duc competitions.

The Renard Gillard cheese dairy produces cheeses and in particular Brie de Meaux AOP, molded by hand. This brie has been awarded gold medals in various national and international competitions.

Brie is made from raw cow's milk from local producers selected in the AOP Brie de Meaux area. Brie is produced with ancestral know-how.
