Royal Kombu is rich in alginic acid, a purifying agent for the intestines, rich in protein (14% of its dry matter) and in minerals, calcium (8 times more than in milk), magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium, iron (5 times more than in spinach), bromine, zinc.

Brown in color, it is fleshy, crunchy, and has an iodized and smoky flavor.

It accompanies pasta, rice, white meats, fish, seafood.
