Wakame is grown on the northern coasts of Brittany. It is the richest in vitamin B12.
It prevents aging of the arteries and is renowned for its beneficial action on the skin, hair and nails because it is rich in fibre, magnesium, iron and copper. Slightly iodized with a slight taste of oysters, its texture is fine and firm.
After rinsing for 10 seconds in running water, it can be eaten raw on salads and raw vegetables, or blanched to enhance a soup.
It accompanies pasta, rice, white meats, fish and seafood, or even leeks or spinach in your pies and quiches.
