Originally, the yuzu was present upstream of the Yangtze River in China and was transmitted to Japan 1300 years ago. Japan is today the largest producer and consumer of yuzu. The geography and the high thermal amplitude of the climate have made Japanese yuzu the most aromatic of all. The mountainous regions of the country, where rainfall is abundant and sunshine low, are ideal for its cultivation. It remains uncommon due to its yield, the most random of all citrus fruits. Its rarity increases its value but it remains highly prized for its powerful aroma and flavor. This precious citrus fruit with a fruity and intense character reveals a magnificent fragrance. All our fresh products are sent in specially designed isothermal packages including cooling gels allowing them to be kept cool throughout the journey.
