Fresh IGP Quercy melon purée - 1kg

The Melon du Quercy is a protected geographical indication (PGI) which honors the exceptional terroir of Quercy, located in the south-west of France. The delicious flavor of Melon du Quercy (Yellow Charentais variety) also comes from the southern exposure of the fields and the coolness of the nights in the region, caused by the influence of the Mediterranean and oceanic climates. The melons used by Maison Ponthier are harvested by hand in order to carefully assess the maturity of each fruit before being sorted according to their category, defined by their caliber, weight and size.

Only first-grade melons, commonly known as “table” melons, are used to produce Ponthier puree.

All our fresh products are sent in specially designed isothermal packages including cooling gels allowing them to be kept cool throughout the journey.
